Meet Chloe, Lani and Jess.
Making a difference does not always have to involve huge lifestyle changes. Even small actions can have a positive impact. Chloe, Jess and Lani noticed how many young people care about the environment but often do not know where to start or what they can actually do to help. Their goal was to create something that made sustainability feel more achievable and less overwhelming - and that’s exactly what they are doing.
5 Minutes 4 Change is a youth-led environmental campaign created by the trio aiming to share simple and realistic ways people can help their local environment. The campaign shares ideas for actions people can take in as little as five minutes, one hour, one day or over a weekend. Through social media posts, the project encourages practical habits such as borrowing a book from the local library instead of buying a new one, organising a beach clean-up with friends, planting a tree, saving glass jars to reuse, starting a small garden and signing petitions that support environmental action.
