Mental Health Workshop
Tailored, interactive presentation-style workshop for schools and businesses.
We have a new evidence-based mental health workshop available for schools and businesses that gives young people simple and accessible tools to better understand and support their wellbeing. The session is fully funded and can be tailored to suit your environment, as well as the number of people the session would be delivered to - from small groups to a whole school assembly.
The workshop helps students and young people to:
-
We always have mental health. Like physical health, our mental health is a spectrum. We might be feeling really good some days, and lower on other days. It fluctuates depending on circumstances and experiences.
-
There are warning signs to when our mental health may be moving down the spectrum. It’s important to understand these not only in ourselves, but also our peers, so we can support those who may be struggling.
-
Our S.O.N.D.E.R acronym is a simple, easy to remember action plan that young people can reflect on in times where they need to show up for their mental health and look after themselves.
-
Knowing they have an action plan they can refer to provides comfort and confidence in young people as they gain tools that allow them to support and understand their own mental health and wellbeing.
Our aim is for young people to leave with practical strategies they can use in everyday life, as well as greater confidence in recognising changes in their mental health.
If this is something your school or organisation would be interested in, please enquire at team@sonderyouth.com to chat about the finer details.
“Bella, Gabbi and Will presented their mental health workshop at our recent whole-school assembly and did an excellent job engaging with such an important topic. The Sonder leaders presented confidently and professionally, speaking clearly and effectively to a large audience. They demonstrated a strong understanding of the topic and were able to communicate key messages in a way that was accessible, relevant and appropriate for the age and needs of our students.
The leaders maintained the audience’s attention throughout the presentation and demonstrated excellent preparation and teamwork. They spoke with confidence and maturity and showed genuine passion for promoting positive mental health and wellbeing within our school community. Their ability to discuss what can be a sensitive and complex topic in a respectful and relatable way was particularly impressive.”
