SOUTH COAST CHANGEMAKERS FORUM

The South Coast Changemakers Forum is a 3 day camp for young people aged 14 - 18 to connect, learn and design their own projects for positive change for the South Coast.

The Forum provides young people with the opportunity to connect, develop skills and positive change networks in the community.

As part of the Forum, participants take part in the Changemaker Challenge. Over 3 days they design and pitch projects for positive change. Participants are then given the opportunity to go on to complete their ideas in the Changemakers Program.

  • Thanks to the support of the NSW Government and the amazing South Coast business community, the South Coast Changemakers Forum has been running continuously under various names to support over 500 young people in the Shoalhaven community for 10 years. Sonder Youth has been running the South Coast Changemakers Forum since 2019.

  • In 2023, 94% of participants indicated improved confidence in their ability to make community change.

  • In 2023, 88% participants indicated improved confidence in their ability to make peronal change.

  • 96.8% of participants from the 2023 SCCF rated the experience as “exceeded expectations.”

Meet the 2023 Changemakers!

At the 2023 South Coast Changemakers Forum, participants were given the chance to share what it is that they really care about.

When we combine our passions and work together we are far more capable of creating the changes we want to see in our region. During this year’s Forum, participants got to see their passion as one part of the puzzle which can lead to youth-driven change on the South Coast.
