The Nowra I Know

Our 2026 Nowra Changemakers saw a problem with how their town was perceived.

They were sick of the negative stories associated with Nowra and wanted to share their experiences and stories of this town.

So they decided to create a short film. They asked their community to be interviewed and answer the big questions about life in Nowra. They filmed it, edited and even wrote a song to go in the film.

The film premiered at the Roxy cinema on July 2026 with a sold out theatre.

Through their project, these Changemakers share the very definition of Sonder - everyone is living a vivid and complex life. They showcase what is beautiful about their home and the people here, with the hopes that audiences also see the Nowra they know.
